Dear Friends in Christ,

I hope this message finds you well. It is with sadness that I am writing to announce the resignation of Diocesan Financial Officer Teresa Kennedy effective March 31, 2025.

Teresa has been a valuable member of the diocesan team over the past five years while holding a contract to work for the Diocese in the capacity of Financial Officer. Teresa has managed our Diocesan accounts with accurate record keeping, and has kept us compliant with laws and regulations especially through the complexities of employment subsidies during Covid.  She has graciously engaged with the staff team and parish leadership. 

I understand that Teresa’s departure may raise questions about the transition of her responsibilities. I am already working with Executive Archdeacon Christopher Parsons and Diocesan Council to review the role description, to interview her to learn from her experience of the work, and to ensure a smooth handover and continuity of work. 

Teresa is committed to supporting the diocesan community through the end of this financial year. 

Please join me in thanking Teresa for her dedication and service to the people of the diocese and in wishing her success and happiness in her future endeavours. We are grateful for the time Teresa has spent with us.
